DASH DOWNTOWN L.A. ROUTE DD (DOWNTOWN DISCOVERY) CHANGES
Effective July 21, 2007, DASH Downtown Los Angeles Route DD (Downtown Discovery Weekend Service) will begin using a new route to serve retail stores and residential units in the South Park area.
- Between 7th and 11th streets, buses will operate in both directions on Hope Street to serve the new Ralphs Fresh Fare Market and other retail stores at stops on Hope at 9th St. The new route will also serve recently built residential units along the Hope St. corridor. Route DD service on Flower and Figueroa Sts. between 7thSt. and Pico Blvd. will be eliminated, but those street segments will continue to be served by DASH Route F weekend service.
- DASH Route DD buses traveling southbound on the existing Flower St. route will turn east on 7th St., stopping in front of Macy’s Plaza, and then turn south on Hope St.to serve South Park.
- Southbound Route DD buses on Hope St. will turn around using 11th and 12th Sts. and then use Hope St. northbound to reach 7th St. where they will turn west to join the existing route on Figueroa St.
- A new route map for Route DD will be posted on each DASH Downtown Los Angeles bus on Monday, July 16. The schedule for DASH Route DD will be the same as for the existing service - a bus every 20 minutes between 10 AM and 5 PM, Saturdays and Sundays except major holidays.
