LADOT Transit


The results are in from the Transit Service Analysis

LADOT Transit again thanks all of you who emailed, called wrote and/or attended one or any of the public meetings that were held. LADOT Transit has made many adjustments to the initial set of recommendations based on community input. The following represents the recommendations that will be sent to the City Council for review and subsequent approval. None of the proposed changes can be implemented without City Council and Mayoral approval. All proposed changes are also subject to budgetary constraints or unanticipated economic changes.

The tentative schedule is as follows:

Upon approval from the City Council, the planned implementation is as follows:

Added Weekend Service & Extended Hours Late 2018
Improved Frequencies & Route Changes 2019
New Routes (Phase 1) 2019/2020
New Routes (Phase 2) Only if new funding sources available

Routes not listed below have no changes and are not being submitted to the City Council.

Proposed Changes to Cityride

  • Clients can purchase up to $84 in fare value each quarter, up from $42.
  • Trips up to 10 miles scheduled in advance remain the same cost in fare value. Trips from 10 to 20 miles are eliminated. Scheduled trips may be provided by van or taxi.
  • Clients can call taxis for immediate trips and pay meter charge up to $20 in fare value, up from $12. Amount over $20 is paid by client.
