ANNOUNCING LADOT’S NEW SERVICE PLAN & IMPLEMENTATION SCHEDULE

LADOT Transit completed its Moving Forward Together project that included a detailed Transit Service Analysis of all routes and programs within the LADOT Transit network. LADOT Transit presented initial recommendations online, in publications, at meetings and public hearings. Based on the comments received LADOT Transit formulated final recommendations. The Los Angeles City Council approved the implementation of these specific service changes for DASH, Commuter Express, Cityride, and the launch of LAnow an on demand shared-ride service.

MARCH 2019

LAnow – On Demand Shared-Ride

LAnow logo

LAnow is a new on demand shared ride service, designed by you. Hail a ride through the LAnow smartphone app, online, or by phone. Within the service area, pick-up/drop-off spots are never more than a few blocks (1/4 mile) away. You can also meet us at the LAnow Rideshare Hub at the Palms Expo Station.

CHANGES TO CITYRIDE

  • Clients can purchase up to $84 in fare value each quarter, up from $42.
  • Trips up to 10 miles scheduled in advance remain the same cost in fare value. Trips from 10 to 20 miles are eliminated. Scheduled trips may be provided by van or taxi.
  • Clients can call taxis for immediate trips and pay meter charge up to $20 in fare value, up from $12. Amount over $20 is paid by client.
