LADOT Transit is operating a pilot program offering courtesy on-demand stops on DASH El Sereno/City Terrace, DASH Panorama City/Van Nuys, DASH Pico Union/Echo Park, DASH Watts

EFFECTIVE AUGUST 21, 2021 LADOT Transit introduced its new pilot program, Safe Travel with On-Demand Stops

To improve safety and convenience for riders, the pilot program offers courtesy on-demand stops on four DASH routes:

Changes come as a result of LADOT's “Changing Lanes” Transportation Equity study. Read more about the study.

Program Details:

  • Available before 7 a.m. and after 6 p.m.
  • Courtesy stop must be located between regular route bus stops (route will not deviate)
  • Rider tells the driver as soon as possible but at least one regular bus stop ahead of the courtesy stop location
  • Driver must be able to stop the bus safely at a curb to let the rider off
  • Rider must exit from the front door ONLY for safety reasons
