Advisory Notice to LADOT Transit Riders RE: Novel Coronavirus
All LADOT Transit services are operating on their normal schedules
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) report that the immediate risk to the public for contracting the Coronavirus/COVID-19 remains low. There is no indication at this time that there is any increased risk to customers utilizing our transit services.
In the meantime LADOT Transit has directed its service contractors to intensify their cleaning and disinfecting activities by placing special emphasis on sanitizing high contact points inside our buses.
Our buses are cleaned on a regular basis and we will continue to evaluate and adapt our cleaning protocols as this public health concern progresses.
We advise that the single best way to help keep Coronavirus/COVID-19 from spreading in any public place is to follow best hygiene practices--by sneezing or coughing into a tissue or your arm and by frequent hand washing for at least 20 seconds with soap and water.
LADOT Transit will continue to monitor guidance issued by the CDC, State of California, and the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.
LADOT Transit is dedicated to taking all necessary actions to protect its riders and employees while continuing to provide safe and reliable service.
